DSC_1699Enough o’ sittin around feelin’ sorry for myself, time to get the shop back in business! Plan is to put more stuff on wheels, including myself… And saturday was Bomgaar’s (the local farm store) quarterly 17% off sale. T’was lookin’ for a nice mechanics stool with at least three degrees of freedom- vertical, rotate, and roll around- but their price was way high even with 17% off. But did bring home another of the pictured dollies. I’d already used one with a spare wheel as “cribbing” to roll the swing arm and final drive outa the way, and with the new one under the tool box I can roll that around with me as needed. I also moved some stuff around to make room to roll around the bike. And yes, my airhead “parts department” hogging space on the couch really needs to move to my “parts room”! I’m doing similar in the actual garage- More space around the vehicle, and more ways like jacks and ramps to get the vehicle at a more accessible height. Also going to blog more on makin’ wrenchin’ accessible, did a Google search on “accessible shop” and found zilch… Need to document this for the next gimp(s).DSC_1707Nice day out and rain forecast the next two days, so the wrenchin’ will have to wait! Got comfy on the R65LS and rode down to Blue Mounds State Park, saw a couple of the buffalo herd in the distance and some early fall colors. Takin’ a break here at McD’s in Luverne, see in the sunday paper ads that Mac’s Hardware has a sale this week. Mac’s sells metric fasteners by the pound and they’ve got those dollies for even less than Bomgaar’s, so I’ll be headed to Sioux Falls or Watertown sometime this week…
