“Dixie Diesel” is poor quality diesel fuel that gels up at not even really cold temps with corresponding loss of power. My first experience of the phenomenen was a couple years back after I filled up in Tennessee- Loss of power that was cured by topping up the tank with proper diesel fuel.
Well, this a wimpy winter and it ain’t even half over and my diesel cars already been poisened twice with substandard diesel. I’m amazed that the trucking industry isn’t in full rebellion…
